The Fire in Australia

What has happened to the world these days?

Everything just feels so doomed, doesn’t it? Nothing is going fine anymore? Has climate change finally taken a toll on us? There is no good news anymore. Just after the huge Amazon forest fire that led to the death of many innocent’s life, Now the news is that Australia is going through the same thing, again.

As if the Amazon forest getting caught on fire wasn’t enough, Now the Australian forest has caught fire too. This is no joke. The world is not a safe place anymore.

Animals aren’t safe anymore. Neither are any of us beings. A fire so big, it could cause an apocalypse. Not like it’s not already. Thousands and thousands of acres have been completely destroyed.

Climate change has finally come to haunt us. Weather conditions have worsened. The forests are rapidly being destroyed and there is nothing we can do to stop it.

So, what’s the update on the fire?

The country’s capital, Canberra, smashed its heat record of 80 years, reaching 44 degrees Celsius (111 degrees Fahrenheit) on Saturday afternoon, according to the meteorology bureau.

In the western Sydney suburb of Penrith, the mercury climbed to 48.9 degrees Celsius (120 degrees Fahrenheit) — setting a new record for the whole Sydney basin.

The death count has been rising up like crazy. As disheartening as it sounds, thousands of animals have been dying. Nature itself is calling us for help.  “23 people had been killed nationwide, from earlier in the week.” according to Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

More than 1500 houses have been destroyed to date since the start of the fire, i.e since September. There are a number of dangerous fires burning in the Shoalhaven, South Coast, Snowy Mountains, and areas surrounding Greater Sydney.

The fire, some of them have been burning for almost a month, continuously, without any action taken against it. There’s only so much we can do at the moment, except for watching it grow helplessly.

Not to undermine the working people, who have been working really hard and doing anything and everything to stop the fire. The firefighters are giving it all but it’s not really going good at the moment.

The fire is growing at an alarming rate. At this point, all we can do is hope for the best.
